Teacher of Production Arts

We are seeking an innovative and motivated Teacher of Production Arts to join our dynamic Stage Production Department. You will teach and guide students across Level 3 and Level 4 courses, specialising in stage and production management, props making and set design.
This is a role for someone who loves both the creative and technical aspects of production - someone who enjoys the buzz of working on live projects and helping young people turn their ideas into reality.
You’ll play a key part in academy and BOA Group productions, collaborating with fellow teachers, technicians, and industry professionals to deliver an industry-led, destination-driven curriculum that prepares students for successful futures in theatre, film, and live performance.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
• Skills in one or more of the following: stage management, production management, props making, set design and construction
• A passion for creative education and a drive to help young people succeed
• Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
• The ability to bring real-world knowledge into the classroom and onto the stage
A teaching qualification or experience teaching/lecturing in education is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your industry experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to nurturing emerging talent.
Why Join Us?
At BOA Stage & Screen Production Academy, you’ll be part of a community that bridges the gap between education and the creative industries. You’ll enjoy:
• Working in state-of-the-art facilities in Birmingham’s creative hub
• Collaborating on high-profile productions and industry partnerships
• Opportunities for professional development and career progression
• A culture that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and innovation
